We welcome ‘Dance or Buy’ as Laroye’s debut solo release on Situationism.
The ‘Main mix’ brings us a tribal soaked deepness that flourishes into a slightly leftfield and subtly acid soaked groove, with his powerful vocals exerts pushing through the mix along with birdsong in places. Experimental and contemporary but in the most grooviest way.
The ‘6am Dub’ takes us deeper yet again but with more emphasis on the percussive side, with plenty of dubbed out conga licks and a real infectious head down groove that draws you hypnotically into the centre until fully immersed.
BRS bring the remix heat with a heavy bass driven version, maintaining the depth of the original but with a stripped down warmth, along with some chunky beats to sharpen things up. The man like Dr Phil Campbell on those keys and bass again…

A terrific minimal house EP that strips everything back to the essentials: a faint hint of synth and a big, driving beat. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 6, 2024
“Void Universes” was “inspired by the teachings of quantum psychologist Stephen Wolinsky,” & the music is appropriately expansive. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2018
